BillToMobile now had top 4 US carriers

BillToMobile has signed up T-Mobile to become the first mobile payments platform to have arrangements with all four of the major US mobile/ cellphone networks (Verizon, AT&T & Sprint are the other three major networks).

This gives the organisation an opportunity to try and build a lasting advantage through this major selling point for merchants. Mobile payments companies allow people to purchase items using their mobile and bill it to their mobile phone account. Usually the purchaser starts by inputting their phone number and adds a pin number. In some cases such as with BillToMobile they are then sent a further one time password by SMS which must be added as confirmation. Average transaction size is $14. Initially carriers insisted on a low purchase value ceiling concerned over fraud. They have now realised the revenue potential and some are happy to see three figure transaction prices.
