Ermotti to be made permanent UBS CEO this week?
The usually well informed SonntagsZeitung reported that Sergio Ermotti will be named as permanent CEO of UBS this week ahead of the important investors meeting to be held in New York on Thursday.
Ermotti was appointed as interim CEO in late September of this year. This followed the resignation of Oswald Grübel in the wake of the rogue trading incident. Whilst the UBS board has maintained it will not be rushed into its choice it must realise that in the current market conditions both leadership and the market perception of clear leadership existing are crucial.
