UniCredit and Intesa Sanpaolo debt buy back
UniCredit announced on Monday that it had successfully bought back bonds with a face value of €1.86bn (£1.55bn $2.40bn ¥185bn Y15.2bn).
Intesa Sanpaolo announced on Monday that it would seek to buy back bonds with a face value of €3.75bn (£3.13bn $4.84bn¥373bn Y30.65bn).
The move by the to largest Italian banks help boost their capital ratios by reducing their total debt.
